"Signs That You Might Not Be Experiencing a Spiritual Awakening”

While many people embark on the transformative journey of spiritual awakening, it's important to recognize that not everyone experiences this profound shift in consciousness at the same pace or intensity. The path to spiritual growth is highly personal and can take various forms. Often it is helpful to understand from the point in time that which we are currently experiencing.

It’s good to be honest with ourselves as an awakening is the path to greater self awareness and honesty with our deepest aspects. Even as we undergo an awakening of consciousness we will continue to weigh and balance many of the following behaviors as we decondition our mental programs. It takes time, as much time as it takes, to shift our perspective toward a commitment to find a more healthy way of being not only for ourselves but humanity at large. Understanding these signs can help you gain clarity on your spiritual journey and potentially find a more authentic path for your personal development.

Following are 8 signs you willfully resisting or not yet embarking on the path to spiritual awakening.

Resistance to Change: One of the primary signs that you may not be in the midst of a spiritual awakening is a strong resistance to change. A spiritual awakening often involves a willingness to reevaluate and modify long-held beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. If you find yourself adamantly resisting such change, it might be an indication that you are not yet ready for a deep spiritual transformation.

Lack of Self-Reflection: Spiritual awakening typically entails self-reflection and introspection. If you seldom question your thoughts, actions, and the deeper meaning of your life, you may not be actively engaging in the process of spiritual growth. A lack of self-reflection can suggest a stagnant spiritual state.

Materialism and Ego-Driven Goals: If your primary focus in life revolves around material possessions, social status, and ego-driven achievements, you may be far from experiencing a spiritual awakening. A genuine spiritual awakening often leads to a shift in priorities, away from external validation and toward inner peace, purpose, and compassion.

Judgment and Intolerance: A common sign of spiritual growth is increased empathy, compassion, and tolerance for others. If you frequently find yourself judging or criticizing people who hold different beliefs or lifestyles, it may indicate that you are not currently undergoing a spiritual awakening. True awakening often fosters a sense of unity and understanding among diverse individuals.

Emotional Turmoil and Unresolved Trauma: While a spiritual awakening can be emotionally intense, it is often accompanied by a sense of clarity and healing. If you are overwhelmed by emotional turmoil, or if you have unresolved trauma, it may be challenging to engage in a spiritual awakening. It's important to address your emotional well-being before pursuing a deeper spiritual path.

Spiritual Bypassing: Spiritual bypassing is the act of using spiritual beliefs and practices to avoid dealing with personal issues or challenges. If you find yourself using spirituality as a way to escape or suppress your real-life problems, you may not be on the path to true spiritual awakening.

Over reliance on External Teachers, influence from celebrity figures, or Gurus: While spiritual teachers and gurus can be valuable guides, an over reliance on external authorities to dictate your beliefs and spiritual path may hinder your personal awakening. A genuine spiritual awakening involves taking responsibility for your own growth and understanding. Addiction to celebrity influence demonstrates one has not taken the initiative to self sovereignty and once again relies on living life vicariously through another taking you further away from the inner depths of one's true nature and self-awareness.

Rigid Dogmatism: A spiritual awakening often leads to an open-minded and flexible approach to spirituality. If you rigidly adhere to one particular religious or spiritual dogma and reject all other perspectives, you may not be on the path of awakening. True spiritual growth embraces diverse perspectives and seeks unity rather than division.

It's important to remember that not everyone's spiritual journey looks the same, and a lack of the signs mentioned above does not necessarily indicate a lack of spiritual depth or potential. Some individuals may undergo spiritual growth at a slower pace, while others may find their own unique paths. The most important aspect of a spiritual journey is authenticity and a genuine desire for personal growth. If you recognize any of the signs mentioned in your own life, it may be an opportunity for self-reflection and exploration, rather than a cause for concern. Everyone's spiritual journey is unique, and it's essential to honor your own process and timing. An awakening often changes and shifts you to the core of your being. For one to be ready for this magnitude of alteration it’s best to trust God and our guidance as to when and how that unfolds for us.

Patience, trust, and commitment to this extraordinary process is how we stay on the path. It’s a profound humbling of one’s being and indeed it will leave you completely transformed yet more yourself than you could ever imagine.

It takes the right elements to get your head out of the sand. The desire to stop hurting another and oneself is a prime step to reflect upon with a true innocence and pure intention.
